Traveling in your RV is a wonderful way to see this beautiful country. It gives you the freedom to tour just about any place with the amenities and comfort of a home. Searching for a true ‘glamping’ experience in a luxurious and extravagant RV destination? There’s no reason to look further than the Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort.

It sits at 3200-feet elevation amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Lake Toxaway region. Mountain Falls offers unparalleled and breathtaking scenic views. It has unspoiled nature trails, fabulous waterfalls, and tranquil lakes. Mountains, parklands galore, and streams surrounding this resort. It’s no shock that many have chosen it as their preferred luxury RV campsite.

Getting to Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort

Mountains falls is conveniently located off Highway 64 at 20 Resorts Blvd, Lake Toxaway, NC. As you approach the RV resort, however, the elevation changes quite a bit making portions of the road curvy. If you’re coming from the North, for instance, the road is rather tight the last seven miles to the resort.  From the south, the case is no different. There’s a 17-mile stretch of a twisty turn of mountain passes that calls for slow speed, caution, and patience to maneuver. Be wary of bridge heights as some are too low for the motorcoach to pass. Some of the routes to avoid include 215, 178, 276 and Hwy 64E from Franklin to Lake Toxaway.

Although your GPS and other mapping systems will recognize the resort’s address, take great caution as they might direct you through narrow and treacherous roads. Advisably, get directions from Mountain Falls’ Website.

Things to Do

Sports Activities

As you might have guessed, there’s no shortage of things to do once you get at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort. Sports activities are in plenty with Pickle Ball stealing the show. Usually, this game is scheduled throughout the week and often starts at 9 am. For golf fanatics (those who play golf as a competitive sport or a relaxing hobby), there’s a 9-hole golf course onsite to make sure you always have fun. The area surrounding the resort also has lots of executive Golf Courses.  Other sports activities here include bocce, tennis and more.

Local Attractions

The best bit is that the resort is situated in a location equipped with adequate outdoor activities. If you’re feeling like having a more outdoorsy vacation, there are lots of glorious opportunities for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, and more, all within a short a distance. Some of the major attractions around include Gorges State Park located just 1.5 miles down the 281 S, Whitewater Falls (the highest fall in the Eastern U.S.), and Great Smokey Mountain Railway where you can enjoy train rides.

Better still, the areas surrounding the RV resort – Village of Cashiers, Town of Brevard, and Town of Rosman – present the perfect opportunity for more adventure. If you want to buy touristy stuff, for example, Cashiers is an excellent place thanks to its hometown setting. Brevard, not too far away, also offers lots of good food (and breweries)

Kid-Friendly Attractions

To make sure the little ones always feed their urge for adventure, Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort is located near a variety of kid-friendly facilities. Franklin Gem & Mineral Museum, Gem Mining at the Log Cabin, Fun Factory, Pisgah Fun Center Regal, and Biltmore Grand (Cinema) are some of the favorite fun spots within close proximity.

Of course, admission to the Dam itself is the most outstanding way to experience this massive engineering feat. This can allow you to learn what it’s all about. And to discover the fascinating history behind its beauty. Once you get here, the dam tour usually starts with a Discovery Tour (with a guide) filled with photos, murals, and maps of the dam’s history. You’ll then ride an elevator that descends 530 feet down into the Black Canyon. From here, you get a chance to tour the Nevada Wing of the Power plant and its eight large generators. The last bit of the Dam Tour involves taking yet another elevator to the observation deck. From there you can enjoy panoramic views of the Colorado River and Lake Mead.

Although you can drive on yourself to the Dam or making travel arrangements with a local Hoover Dam Tours company may also work best for you.
